Aleksandra Gawor is a PhD candidate at Loughborough University in the school of sports, exercises and health sciences. Her research focuses on exploring the trends, patterns, and potential non-pharmacological interventions to reduce alcohol abuse in students.

The benefits of exercise were a key factor studied. She also looked at the attitudinal and structural barriers that students face when seeking help for mental health problems.
