Alim Baluch

I teach undergraduate Politics students as well as students on our Modern Languages Programmes, mainly in the area of German Politics & Society. Moreover, I am the Recruitment Manager for German which entails visiting schools and education fairs in the UK and abroad.

Prior to coming to Bath, my teaching focused on European integration theory as well as ethnic conflcits and state building in South Eastern Europe. In my PhD dissertation I examined ethnic multi-level governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina. More recently, my research interests are centered on politicisation processes with regard to trade agreements, European Integration and right-wing populism.
