Alina Tryfonidou

My main research interests focus on EU free movement law, Union citizenship, investors residence and citizenship schemes, and the protection of LGBT rights (especially under EU law). I am currently working on two projects: the one examines the rights of rainbow families moving within the EU (especially the question of whether EU law can require Member States to recognise the legal ties between the children and the non-biological parent) and the other considers Member State investment citizenship and residence schemes and their compatibility with EU law.
