Amanda Bisong is an external PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law VU Amsterdam. She is a policy officer at the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM). Amanda has a background in law (Bachelor/ barrister in Nigeria) and Master degrees in international law and economics (World Trade Institute, Bern) and international trade policy and trade law (Lund University). Amanda does research in public law, political economy and migration. Her research focus is on migration governance and the interplay between regional and national commitments, as well as the role of external stakeholders on influencing migration policies in west African states. In recent years, she has published several research articles on migration governance.
