My research focuses on the use of digital media by social movements, non-governmental organisations and charities.

My latest work looks at the role of digital media in the 'movements of the squares' (from Occupy to Nuit Debout in France).

I'm interested in the role of digital media (including social media, email lists and instant texting applications) in processes of organisation, decision-making and mobilisation.
