Research Fellow, Harvard University

Andrea Ganna is a Research Fellow affiliated to a number of organisations including Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts general hospital, the Broad Institute at Harvard and MIT. He previously worked at the Karolinksa Institute in Sweden.

His PhD was on new risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and new -omics technologies . It is important to understand which of these risk factors (markers) might have a utility in clinical practice. In my PhD thesis I will explore the predictive ability of recently discovered risk factors. Specifically, I will study the additive value of metabolomics and genetic markers for preventing cardiovascular diseases.
