I am an economist at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex. My research interests are mainly in the areas of labour economics, health economics and applied microeconometrics. I have worked on topics such as wage differentials, temporary employment, job satisfaction, unions and union threat effects, minimum wages, and income support for lone parents. Much of my current research investigates the impact of technology on the quantity and quality of work.
