Senior Lecturer in Sport Management, Bournemouth University

Dr Andrew Adams is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Management at Bournemouth University and is Programme Leader for MSc Sport Management there

Andrew leads modules: Sport, Physical Education and Pedagogy and Critical Sport Development at level 6 and Contemporary Issues in Sport management at level 7.

Andrew’s research centres on two aspects of sport management. One strand of research is concerned with the analysis of performance and monitoring evaluation of sport and leisure related projects. The other strand focuses on political aspects of sport connected to social policy and political aspects of sport enactment and politics, sport and human rights. Andrew has completed realist evaluations for a variety of sport and non-sport organisations in England. Andrew is predominantly a qualitative researcher favouring case study research. He has published in peer reviewed journals and contributed book chapters to edited collections and has spoken on a variety of sport management topics at many national and international conferences. Andrew is a former Editor in Chief of teh International peer reviewed journal Managing Sport and Leisure
