Andrew Stigler is an Associate Professor in the National Security Affairs Department of the Naval War College. His research focuses on causality in international relations, air power, Operation Allied Force, threat assessment, and foreign policy. He has published in International Security, Joint Force Quarterly, Texas National Security Review, the Los Angeles Times, The Conversation, and the Naval War College Review. His book "Governing the Military" deals with challenges relating to presidential control of the military instrument of power. He holds an MA in International relations from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Political Science from Yale University.
