I am a Chartered Psychologist with a specific interest in adolescence. Currently leading the research programme at a charity focusing on youth health, I have a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Psychiatry (1992) and was a Fulbright Scholar in the USA. More recently I completed a masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have published widely on adolescent well-being and have worked with a range of funders, think tanks and universities in the field of adolescent development. I have been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Adolescence since 2000
