Anna Einarsdóttir

Reader in Critical Diversity Management, University of York

As a Reader in Critical Diversity Management my area of expertise concerns discriminatory practices at work and promotion of inclusive organisational environments. Whilst gender and sexual identity has taken centre stage in my career, my research generally involves emotionally charged issues that both people and their organisations struggle or fail to respond to.

I take great interest in sociology of personal and professional relationships and have published widely in the areas of formalised same sex unions, both in the UK and in Iceland and more recently, concerning bullying, harassment and discrimination of lesbian, gay and bisexual employees in the British workplace.

I welcome PhD interest in the following areas:

Personal and professional relationships
(A)sexualised work and organisational spaces
Gender, sexual identities and embodiment
Equality, diversity and inclusion
Bullying, harassment and discrimination
