Knowledge Exchange Fellow/Project Lead, University of Strathclyde

I am a Knowledge Exchange Fellow and Project Lead on the Equally Safe in Higher Education (ESHE) Project based in the School of Social Work and Social Policy at Strathclyde. My main area of expertise is violence against women especially domestic abuse. ESHE has been funded by the Scottish Government to develop a campus-wide Gender-based violence strategy. With activities going on across five workstreams we are collaborating with other universities and external organisations to create a national Equally Safe toolkit which will be available to all universities and colleges in Scotland. I am also a VAW journalist and first winner in 2013 of Best Article at the Scottish Write to End VAW Awards. I am currently completing an oral history of domestic abuse in Scotland in the 1980 for my doctorate.
