Ph.D. Student in Information Science, University of Colorado Boulder

Anthony Pinter is an Information Science PhD student who studies how audiences interpret identity presentations and identity shifts in online environments. His main thread of research focuses on how transgender users present themselves on social media, and how their audiences interpret and respond to these identity presentations. Prior to CU Boulder, Anthony completed his BS and MS in Information Science from Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology. At CU Boulder, Anthony works with Dr. Jed Brubaker and the CU Identity Lab.

In his spare time, Anthony coaches high school track and field at Boulder Area High School, is an avid mountain biker, and enjoys going to concerts in Boulder, Denver and across the country.
