Anton Neville Isaacs

Senior Lecturer, Monash School of Rural Health, Monash University

I am a public health physician with an interest in the mental health of medically under served populations such as rural and ethnic minority communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. I am also interested in the design, implementation and evaluation of mental health services. I set up a community mental health service in rural India, which has developed into a community psychiatry training program for psychiatry residents. I also set up the Koorie Men’s Health Day in collaboration with Indigenous Elders in rural Victoria. I have evaluated several state and regional health programs in India and Australia. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees (MBBS, MD) from St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, India and my PhD from Monash University.
