Lecturer in Architecture and Construction, University of Sydney

Dr Aysu Kuru is an architectural designer, building engineer and lecturer in architecture and construction. Aysu`s research interests are focused on bio-architecture, environmentally sustainable design and climate adaptation to develop innovative building technologies and creative design processes.

Prior to joining the University of Sydney, Aysu was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the CRC for Low Carbon Living, where she worked on developing a net zero whole life carbon guideline for the Australian building sector with the Australian Institute of Architects Climate Action + Sustainability Task (CAST) Group. Her research is defined by multidisciplinary collaboration, bringing experts from design, technology and biology.
