Professor Emerita of Housing, University of York

I am interested in housing policy, housing design, management, resident involvement, space and spatial segregation. Above all, though, I'm interested in inequalities in housing, and the links between housing, poverty, and living standards. I have worked at the LSE, where I led the MSc Housing, and at the University of York, where I was director of the Centre of Housing Policy, and have researched for the European Commission, UK government, local authorities, housing associations, charities and others.
