I am the Higher Degree Research (HDR) Coordinator for the School of Communication in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

I am a transdisciplinary academic in Information, Digital Media Studies, and Communication, with a Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) background, with additional expertise in STEM (IT), HCI, and UX.

My academic teaching and research interests are in the field of Human Learning, Human Information Interaction or Human Information Behaviour (on how humans need, seek, find, organise, and use information, both online and in everyday life) including Digital Social Media. I use qualitative and ethnographic approaches in my research including digital ethnography.

Prior to academia, I have three decades of professional experience in bookstore consultancy, development editing, academic publishing, and library consulting across three continents.
