PhD student in infectious disease epidemiology, Imperial College London

Andra received his BSc in Statistics, and MSc in Epidemiology. He joined Eijkman-Oxford Clinical Research Unit in 2014 as a statistician after working for one year as a software developer in a data mining and information technology consulting company in Indonesia. His main research interest is to use mathematical modelling techniques to explore the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases. He was involved in the analysis of mobile phone data to map the population movement pattern in Indonesia and used the data to estimate the sustainability of malaria transmission across districts in Indonesia using mathematical models. He is currently doing a Wellcome Trust PhD Programme in Epidemiology, Evolution and Control of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London.
