Bjorn Van Campenhout

Research Fellow, CGIAR System Organization

Bjorn is a Senior Research Fellow in the Development Strategy and Governance Division at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and an Associate Research Fellow at LICOS Centre for Institutions and Economic Performance at the KU Leuven. He is an applied micro-economist with extensive expertise in agricultural economics and food policy in developing countries. He has worked on various topics along agricultural commodity value chains, including on market integration, smallholder market participation and price volatility. More recently, he has started to explore the potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to increase effectiveness and inclusiveness of agricultural advisory services. Bjorn obtained his PhD in economics from the KULeuven, Belgium.
