JSPS Postdoctoral fellow and part-time lecturer Waseda University, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)

I was awarded a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge, under the supervision of Professor Göran Therborn, in 2015, after having been a visiting scholar at the UC Berkeley. From December 2015 to November 2018, I was a post-doctoral fellow/lecturer at the School of social development and public policy of the University of Fudan in Shanghai, and from December 2018 to December 2020, I became a post-doctoral fellow at the CNRS – École Pratique Hautes Études, Groupe Sociétés, Religions, Laïcités, in Paris. I am currently affiliated with the Institut d'études européennes of the Université libre de Bruxelles, where I collaborated in the ValEUR project, a comparative study aimed at understanding the role played by values in the EU agenda, and I am taking part in the RelEP project, a major survey on the religious preferences of the members of the European Parliament. My main research interests are related to the relationships between religion and politics, gender and sexuality, and radical right populism.
