Brad is a policy sociologist who is investigating public school autonomy and its implications for teachers, students and communities in an ARC-funded project. Widely published in international journals and edited books, Brad is also a co-editor of Powers of Curriculum: Sociological Perspectives on Education (Oxford University Press, 2nd edition forthcoming), a textbook for teacher education students about improving early childhood and school education by understanding and responding to the social, cultural and political contexts of education that shape the work of teachers and the experiences of learners.
