Bríd Ní Ghráinne

Lecturer in International Law, University of Sheffield

Dr Bríd Ní Ghráinne is a lecturer in International Law at the University of Sheffield. She holds a DPhil in International Law from the University of Oxford, and LLM in Public International Law from Universiteit Leiden, and a BCL (International) from NUI, Galway. She joined the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer in Law in August 2014, where she researches, supervises, and teaches in the field of Public International Law and Refugee Law.

She completed her doctorate at the University of Oxford, where her research focused on the relationship between the protection of Internally Displaced Persons and International Refugee Law.

Prior to commencing doctoral studies, Dr Ni Ghráinne worked as a researcher in the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and completed a judicial clerkship at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
