PhD Student in Ecology and Agri-Environmental Research, University of Reading

I am a 3rd year NERC-funded PhD student based at the University of Reading, collaborating with Forest Research and the British Geological Survey.

Broadly, I am interested in habitat creation, restoration and conservation, particularly in its role in promoting soil health. My research aims to understand the impacts of UK forest management practices on soil nutrient cycling processes and water quality. I previously completed a three month fellowship at UK Parliament which has fueled my interest in environmental policy. I am also the postgraduate representative for the International Association for Landscape Ecology UK.

Prior to my PhD I completed a BSc in biology and gained practical experience in the nature conservation and agriculture sectors.
