am a pure scientist by training, having studied theoretical physics (BSc Hons: cum laude) and astrophysics (MSc) before obtaining a PhD in business administration at the Graduate School for Business (University of Cape Town).I was also a postdoctoral fellow of the School of Public Leadership at Stellenbosch University. My core expertise (i.e. theoretical and applied) is in systems, complexity and sustainability, and I have worked on a wide variety of complex developmental challenges since 2001. Since then I have been working on the linkages between complexity theory, assemblage theory and posthumanism. My first book was published in 2016 and was titled "Lazarus in the Multiple: Awakening to the Era of Complexity" (Zero Books, UK).
