Camilo López-Aguirre

PhD Candidate, UNSW Sydney

I’m a PhD Candidate at the University of New South Wales studying palaeobiology and evolutionary ecology of mammals. I am interested in the application of computational imaging and analytical tools to study morphological diversification in tetrapods, both fossil and modern. My research experience covers subjects like: ecology, phylogenetics, biogeography, evolutionary biology, palaeontology, and functional and comparative morphology. My research has focused on mammals, especially bats and metatherians. Parallel to my interest in Natural Sciences, I have also taken an interest in Science and Technology Studies, studying social, political and cultural traits affecting scientific research, with a special emphasis in my native Colombia.
