Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Health Data Science, Queen Mary University of London

I trained clinically in paediatrics and academically in clinical epidemiology and health data science. I am a Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Health Data Science in the Clinical Effectiveness Group at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London where I direct the Wellcome Trust Health Data in Practice PhD programme .

My research addresses the effectiveness of clinical and public health strategies to improve the health of children and the adults they will become. I lead large-scale collaborative child population and patient cohort studies currently focussed on identifying and evaluating actionable opportunities to prevent, and improve outcomes and care for, children and their families and to reduce health inequalities.
