I am a cultural geographer, interested in the fundamental questions of equity and human security in a post-carbon world. I explore what is changing socially and culturally as climate change impacts are felt and responses are formulated. I suggest and apply new concepts to describe and understand this social and cultural change, and to imagine and plan for the future. My current research foci are cultural resilience in response to climate change as an existential threat to humanity, human mobility in a changing climate, and the social effects of financialization of climate risk.
