Catherine Caudwell is a Lecturer, and Post Graduate Programme Director at The School of Design, Victoria University Wellington. Her interdisciplinary research explores relationships between humans, non-humans, and artificial others, and how they mediate, and are mediated by, the work of designers. Her PhD research, completed in 2014, explored the cultural impact and legacy of Hasbro's Furby robot in shaping understandings of everyday life with simple social robots.
