Associate Professor, Department of History, Toronto Metropolitan University

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Ryerson University in Toronto. I completed a DPhil in Modern History at Oxford University and have held research and teaching positions at Dalhousie University, the University of Victoria, the University of Lethbridge and Massey College, University of Toronto. I publish on political ideas, problem-solving and decision-making in modern Britain. My current research explores the interplay between academic research, popular narratives and political expediency, particularly in response to the growing influence of young people and youth culture on political life since the Second World War.
