Cédrique Solofondranohatra

I am currently working on my PhD - a collaboration between the University of Antananarivo and Kew Madagascar Conservation Centre - Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

It is based on the ecology of Madagascar's grasslands. I want to understand how grass species traits vary between different habitat and what makes the differences. I also look at the role of fire and herbivory on structuring theses ecosystems. Through landscape surveys and experimental work, I aim to understand how disturbance structures grass communities and how resilient are the grasslands to patterns of disturbance.
