Professor in Geography, The University of Melbourne

I am a Professor at The School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at The University of Melbourne. My research focuses on human migration and population health. I am currently collaborating with national and international colleagues and partner agencies research focused on climate change and human mobility in Small Island States. Much of my recent empirical research has focused on planned relocation in Fiji.

I also work on the Lancet Global Countdown on Health and Climate Change, a multidisciplinary international collaboration that produces an annual report for The Lancet tracking climate change-related health indicators.

I am part of a working group focused on climate change, migration and health that also includes Prof Ilan Kelman (University College London, UK), Dr Shouro Dasgupta (Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Italy), and Sonja Ayeb-Karlsson (United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security, Germany).
