PhD Candidate in Modern British History, University of Cambridge

Cherish is a PhD candidate in Modern British History at Churchill College, Cambridge.

She studies the history of scrapbooks in Britain during the twentieth century, funded by the Wolfson Foundation. She also produces The Scrapbook History Podcast.

Her thesis aims to use scrapbooks to interrogate broader histories of life-writing, archiving, collecting, gender and emotions.

Cherish founded an award-winning national website on the work of the British Women’s Land Army during World War One and Two, www.womenslandarmy.co.uk.

She is regularly in the media discussing the work of the Women’s Land Army.
