Cheryl Davis

I am Yuet/Balladong Noongar woman and have worked in Aboriginal community controlled services, government and university sector for more than 40 years. I have a health science degree, masters of Public Health and currently undertaking a PhD in Indigenous higher education. I am passionate about building an Indigenous health workforce, we need Indigenous health professionals with a strong cultural and professional identity. In my current role at Curtin University, we have Indigenous students across most health disciplines, medicine, nursing and allied health. We need more Indigenous health students who will work alongside non-Indigenous health professionals, and bring their cultural perspective and lived experiences to a clinical and academic settings.
