Researcher at the Demographic Institute, Universitas Indonesia

Chotib has been being a researcher in Demographic Institute Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia since 1991. He also teaches in this faculty with the areas of interest as follow: migration and urbanization;, research methodology; statistics for economics and business; labor economics, regional economics; natural resource and environmental economics; and demographic study.

During working in Demographic Institute, he has some publications and research experiences in population and labor studies, regional economics, and natural resources and environmental economics.

He graduated from the Department of Geography Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Indonesia. He also has master title from Postgraduate Program in Population and Manpower Study University of Indonesia. His Ph.D was graduated from Department of Sociology Faculty of Social and Political Science University of Indonesia, majoring in Urban Sociology.
