Dr Chris Moxon is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
He has just returned from three years in Malawi focusing his PhD on the role of coagulation in the pathogenesis of cerebral malaria, specifically looking at thrombin generation and its modulation by the protein C pathway and how this pathway influences inflammation and sequestration.
Chris has now taken a joint appointment working 60% at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and 40% as a clinical research fellow at LSTM. Read more about Chris’ project in the November 2012 edition of EuroFocus:Health.
