Senior Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO

Chris Wilcox joined CSIRO as a senior researcher in the Marine and Atmospheric Research Division in 2005. His research focuses on understanding human impacts on ecological systems and developing feasible, cost effective solutions. He has worked on a wide array of topics including the ecological effects of groundwater withdrawal, fisheries management, eradication of invasive species. His current research focuses in two areas: understanding and ameliorating the impacts of plastic pollution in the ocean and developing analytical tools to support reduction of illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.
