Christina Ekegren

Senior Research Fellow, Monash University

Christina is a Senior Research Fellow within the Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living (RAIL) Research Centre and Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. Her research focuses on the outcomes of traumatic injury, and in particular on physical activity, sedentary behaviour and the risk of developing chronic disease following injury. She also has a strong interest in active ageing.

Christina has a clinical background in physiotherapy and has worked in teaching and research at universities in Australia, the UK and Canada. She is currently a registered physiotherapist, an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy, Monash University, an Honorary Research Fellow at Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and an Honorary Research Fellow of the Emergency and Trauma Centre, Alfred Health.
