Dr Lee Chun-wing obtained his Bachelor of Social Sciences degree and Master of Philosophy degree from the Department of Government and Public Administration at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2009, he received his PhD in Sociology from The University of Manchester, the UK.

For Dr Lee, one of the major objectives of conducting social research is to enhance the understanding of inequality and injustice in society. Therefore, his major research interests lie in class analysis, social stratification and social movement studies. As a passionate sports fan, he is also interested in the political/sociological aspects of sport.

Before joining HKCC, Dr Lee has extensive teaching experience in different tertiary institutions including The University of Manchester, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Institute of Education at which he taught a wide range of courses related to Sociology, Politics and Public Administration.
