Clare V. Church (she/her) is a Ph.D. history student at Aberystwyth University; the subject of her dissertation focuses on wartime musicians, specifically exploring the role of female singers throughout the Second World War. In 2021, she was included on Apolitical's 100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy list. In 2018, she was named one of Canada's Top 30 Under 30 by Corporate Knights Magazine. She has been published in New York Magazine, Tablet Magazine, openDemocracy, and Era Magazine, among others.

She completed her Master of Arts from New York University in 2017, focusing on journalism and international relations. She attained her Bachelor or Arts from the University of Waterloo in 2014, studying history and political science, with a specialization in global governance and international relations.
