Clare E. Collins

Clare E. Collins is a PhD scholarship student at the University of Hull within the Rewild Cluster. Clare's research is cross-disciplinary with support from the EvoHull group, Hull International Fisheries Institute and the Energy and Environment Institute. Clare's PhD project is looking at effective biodiversity monitoring of river rewilding projects using eDNA modelling.

Clare was previously a postgraduate researcher for her Masters by Thesis in Environmental Sciences, receiving financial support from the Energy and Environment Institute at the University of Hull. Here she was analysing microplastics ingestion in Antarctic fishes, looking at getting a better understanding of the effect humans are having on our planet.

Prior to postgraduate study, Clare spent over ten years in the conservation sector working for the Zoological Society of East Anglia, followed by teaching at Higher Education level at Bishop Burton College.
