Colin is a specialist in digital strategies and innovation platforms providing advisory services to a range of Australian businesses and governments. He currently works with the CSIRO leading a number of initiatives with business innovation, smart cities and open data.

Colin Griffith is one of Australia’s leading exponents of innovation and the development of digital solutions for business, government and the cultural sector. He has led the many major transformation and reform programs over twenty-five years working as a senior executive in a variety of research, consulting, media and government positions.

Colin previously led the Australian Centre for Broadband Innovation at CSIRO that developed a range of new broadband enabled health, aged care, agricultural and business services. He was also responsible for establishing the popular and awarding winning ABC Online while managing the ABC’s new media services during the 1990s and responsible for developing the NSW Government’s open data policies and initiatives during the 2000s.

Colin was the National President of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) and has been a Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Computing (ac3) and the Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG). Colin has also been a member of several industry advisory groups including the Australian Government’s Creative Industries Advisory Committee and National Broadband Development Group.
