Constance Bantman

Constance Bantman has been a Lecturer in French at the University of Surrey since 2009, and is also Director of Learning and Deputy Head of School. She studied Modern Languages and History at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris 3 and Paris XIII Universities in France, and the University of Oxford. Her previous teaching appointments include the University of Oxford, Paris XIII University and Imperial College London. She is a specialist of French and British political and social history between 1880 and 1914; her research focuses on the history of French political exiles in Britain and anarchist transnationalism between 1880 and 1914.
