Cynthia Weber is Professor of International Relations at the University of Sussex, England, where she teaches International Relations, American Studies and Feminist Queer Studies. She is a frequent commentator on gender, sexuality and international and US politics (especially on 'the US women's vote' and the notion of 'US Americanness') and on the politics of popular films. She is the author of '"I am an American": Filming the Fear of Difference (Intellect and University of Chicago Press, 2011). Her documentary films from the 'I am an American' poject are part of the permanent collection in the September 11 Memorial and Museum in NYC and can be viewed online at http://www.iamanamericanproject.com . Her most recent book is Queer International Relations: Sovereignty, Sexuality and the Will to Knowledge (Oxford University Press, 2016).
