Daniel Laqua is Associate Professor of European History at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne. His work deals with the history of transnational movements as well as international campaigns and organisations. He has published widely in this field, covering phenomena such as pacifism, humanitarianism, human rights, the politics of solidarity, and the history of the League of Nations. He is currently completing a monograph on Activism across Borders since 1870: Causes, Campaigns and Conflicts in and beyond Europe. Together with Georgina Brewis (UCL), he has been leading several entwined project on student life in the aftermath of the First World War.
