Researcher in Ecosystem Services and Management (ESM) Program, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA)

Dr. David Leclere joined the Ecosystems Services and Management (ESM) Program in 2012 as a research scholar. He contributes to several developments on the GLOBIOM land use model and investigates various topics such as climate change impacts on agriculture, processes of agriculture expansion and intensification, and impacts of anthropogenic land use on the climate, the nutrient cycles and biodiversity. He recently coordinated the Bending The Curve initiative, an international network of about 60 persons and 46 institutions focused on advanced quantitative modelling techniques and investigating future pathways towards ambitious targets for biodiversity.

He obtained a MSc in Fundamental and Applied Physics, and in Climate Environment interactions from the Paris Saclay University, a MSc in Climate Environment interaction s from Paris Saclay University , and a Ph.D in Environmental Science from the Paris Saclay university (AgroParisTech , France).
