Project Co-ordinator and Sociologist, University of Aberdeen

I am a social scientist with interests in the environment, food and community. I am currently Project Co-ordinator for N-Circle, which seeks to find innovative solutions to tightening the Nitrogen cycle in Chinese farming.

I've researched how food choice patterns can be influenced in society, using behavioural psychology techniques like nudges, and how governments can use these results to encourage people to eat less meat.

I'm broadly interested in how sociologists can factor environmental concerns into their research in order to affect societal change.
