Associate Professor of Management, Simon Fraser University

David R. Hannah is an award-winning teacher and researcher, and an Associate Professor of Management at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. His research and teaching focuses on how people navigate dilemmas and tensions in their working lives. He is presently studying a diversity of tensions, including those involved in workplace bullshit, managing emotions, and working with the natural world. His research has been published in numerous top management journals, and he serves as the founding editor of the groundbreaking Generative Curiosity section of the Journal of Management Inquiry. He has consulted for national and international organizations across multiple industries including high-tech, aviation, government, forestry, medicine, and education.
