Dr David Robie is founding editor and now associate editor of Pacific Journalism Review / Te Koakoa and a member of AUT's Te Rōpu Tuwhera.

He is retired Professor of Pacific Journalism and Director of the Pacific Media Centre/Te Amokura at AUT. He is a former head of journalism at the University of the South Pacific in Suva.

For more than two decades he has focused on covering the Asia-Pacific region. He has reported on post-colonial coups, indigenous struggles for independence and environmental and developmental issues.
