Dr David Treisman is an Economics lecturer in the Bachelor of International Business degree at Monash Business School. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Monash University in 2014. His varied research interests include emerging financial markets, economic regionalism, empirical asset pricing, financial economics, international finance, risk management, political economy and the interactions between financial markets and the macroeconomy.

David has amassed more than 10 years of experience advising foreign and domestic buy-side and sell-side clients in the mining and resources and banking and financial services sectors. David advises on operations and investments for venture capital, private equity and public companies in and across emerging market economies in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean which includes investment appraisal, asset valuation, strategy, research, business advisory, risk management advisory, project management and asset allocation for Australian companies.
