Professor of Practice, University of Sydney

Deborah Bateson is Professor of Practice at The Daffodil Centre, a joint venture between Cancer Council NSW and The University of Sydney and was formerly Medical Director at Family Planning NSW and Global Medical Director at MSI Reproductive Choices. She has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University (MA Oxon), a Master's degree in Human Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a medical degree from the University of Hong Kong. Deborah is an Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and Vice President of the International Federation of Abortion and Contraception Professionals (FIAPAC), and is currently Chair of the National Cervical Screening Program Self Collection Implementation Committee and Deputy Chair of the NCSP Quality and Safety Monitoring Committee.
